I bought a reward for the wrong region
What happens when you redeem a reward that is not valid in your country, and why Salad cannot exchange it.
Salad cannot refund or exchange a reward redeemed for the wrong region. Redemptions are final, as stated at checkout (see I want a refund).
Rewards only work in the region stated in their name or description, and we cannot guarantee anything outside it. For example:
- Countries outside the official EU list may not be able to use EU keys.
- Countries outside North America may not be able to use NA keys.
- Prepaid Mastercard is not available in some countries, such as Turkey; see the supported Visa and Mastercard countries.
What you can do
- Try it anyway. Some digital stores accept codes from other regions; many do not.
- Someone else might want it. You can give or trade the code to a Chef in the right region, but be careful: trade only with people you trust and watch out for scams.
Next time, check what region the reward is for before you click Buy Now. For PayPal, Venmo and prepaid cards, check the supported-countries lists: PayPal, Venmo, Visa and Mastercard.
