1. Open Adaware
This will be the main screen you are presented within Adaware, and is your base of virus-fighting operations.
2. Click on 'Scan Options'
From the main screen, click on ‘Scan Options’, situated right under ‘Full Scan’ to access your antivirus options.
3. Navigate to the Exclusion setting
After clicking on ‘Scan Options’, you would not see the exclusion setting at first. You will have to scroll down a little to find it. Click on ‘View’ within the ‘Manage Exclusions’ area to access your exclusion setting.
4. Adding and Exclusion
After you have clicked on ‘View’, you will be presented with your Exclusion list. From there, click on ‘Add’ within the ‘Paths Excluded’ area to add an exclusion.
5. Adding Salad as an exclusion
A new window will appear once you have clicked ‘Add’. In that window, you’ll want to navigate to the Salad miner folder and select it, the path for this is “C:\Users\YOURUSERHERE\AppData\Roaming\Salad” and click ‘Ok’.
6. Click 'Ok'
Once you’ve found your Salad installation folder and clicked ‘Open’, hit ‘Ok’, and it will bring you back to the main Adaware exclusion page with your newly added exclusion.
7. Run Salad
Let Salad run for at least 30 minutes after setting up the whitelist. Contact support here if this issue persists.
