How to Whitelist Salad in Sophos

1. Open Sophos

This will be the main screen you are presented within Sophos and is your base of virus-fighting operations.

2. Navigate to Settings

To access the settings of Sophos, select ‘Settings’ situated just on the bottom of the screen.

3. Adding Exceptions

After clicking on ‘Settings’. Your default web browser will open up along with the link that navigates you to your Sophos antivirus protection settings. You would find the exceptions area just beside ‘Malicious Traffic Detection’.

4. Adding Salad as an exclusion

After you have found ‘Exceptions’, you’ll want to navigate the Salad miner folder on the dialogue box under it, the path for this is “C:\ProgramData\Salad\workloads” and press the Enter key on your keyboard.

5. Click Ok

Once you’ve found your Salad installation folder and clicked Enter, it will bring you back to the main Sophos Exception whitelist page with your newly added exception.

6. Run Salad

Open your Salad widget and click the play button. Contact support here if this issue persists.
