How to Whitelist Salad in e-Scan

1. Open Comodo

This will be the main screen you are presented within e-Scan and is your base of virus-fighting operations.


2. Click on 'File Anti-Virus'

From the main screen, click on anywhere within the ‘File antivirus’ area.


3. Click on 'Settings'

After you have navigated to ‘File anti-virus’, click on ‘Settings’ situated beside ‘Stop’.


4. Navigate to the Exclusion setting

After you have clicked on ‘Settings’, you will be presented with your AV’s setting. From there, click on the ‘+’ beside ‘Exclude Files/Folders’. And then, double click on ‘Add/Delete’.


5. Adding and Exclusion

After you have clicked on ‘Add/Delete’, you will see your Excluded files/folders. From there, click on ‘Add’ situated on the right hand side to add an exclusion.


6. Adding Salad as an exception

After clicking on ‘Add’, you’ll want to navigate to the Salad miner folder and select it, the path for this is “C:\ProgramData\Salad\workloads” and click ‘Add’. Make sure you have checked ‘Include Subfolder’ and set ‘Object Type’ as ‘Folder’.

7. Click 'OK'

Once you’ve found your Salad miner folder and clicked it, hit ‘Add’, and it will bring you back to the main e-Scan exclusion page with your newly added exclusion. Make sure to click ‘Ok’ on there again.

8. Run Salad

Open your Salad widget and click the play button. Contact support if this issue persists
