How to Whitelist Salad in BullGuard

1. Open BullGuard

This will be the main screen you are presented within BullGuard and is your base of virus-fighting operations.

2. Navigate to Settings

To access the antivirus settings of BullGuard, you’ll want to click on the little down arrow situated within the ‘Antivirus’ area and then, A drop-down list will appear. From the drop-down list, click on ‘Settings’.

3. Click on 'Advanced'

After you have clicked on ‘Settings’, your antivirus settings will pop up. In there, you won’t much settings. To access the full settings of BullGuard’, click on ‘Advanced’, situated on the upper-right-corner of the screen just beside ‘Basic’ and a lot of other settings will appear.

4. Click on 'Tuning'

After you have clicked on ‘Advanced’, different other antivirus settings will appear. From there, click on ‘Tuning’ situated on the bottom-left of the screen.

5. Check 'Skip Files/Folder'

After you clicked on ‘Tuning’ your antivirus’s exclusion setting will appear. From there check ‘Skip files/folder’ and then click on ‘files/folder’ beside ‘Skip files/folder’.

6. Adding an Exclusion

After you have clicked on ‘files/folders’, your exclusion for that specific part will show up. From there, click on the ‘+’ button to add an exclusion.

7. Adding Salad as an exception

Once you have clicked on ‘+’, you’ll want to navigate to the Salad miner folder and select it, the path is “C:\ProgramData\Salad\workloads” and click ‘Ok’.

8. Click 'OK'

Once you’ve found your Salad miner folder and clicked it, hit ‘Ok’, and it will bring you back to the main BullGuard exclusion page with your newly added exclusion. Make sure to click ‘Ok’ on there as well.

9. Run Salad

Open your Salad widget and click the play button.. Contact support if this issue persists
